Abstract

Art made with recyclable materials has emerged as a creative way to combine art and environmental awareness. In this sense, the objective of this article is to analyze the impact of art produced with recyclable materials and its contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda. To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach was used with a case study of two artists from Santa Catarina who use recyclable materials in their art. The main results revealed that the artists Mônica Turato and Marcio Carneiro managed to transform waste into impactful works of art, contributing to environmental and social awareness. Their creations not only promote environmental preservation but also sensitize society to the importance of recycling and reuse. Art with recyclable materials proved to be a multifaceted tool capable of positively influencing collective awareness regarding environmental preservation.
